Orthodontics
Orthodontics is the field of dentistry that concerns the position of tooth in dental arches and that has as its aim the restoration of a correct chewing function as well as a beautiful smile.
New technologies, in particular the use of a digitalized cefalometry software and of a digital morphing, permit us to evaluate the characteristics of the skeleton and of the soft-tissue of the patient’s face, but also to realize virtual simulation of facial growth in an accurate and realistic way. It also allows us to visualize treatment options in order to choose the most appropriate one before operating on the patient. In this way is possible to evaluate the projected results, obtain precise indications about the areas to modify to enhance facial aesthetic, but also to know the treatment’s limits.
This approach contributes to the quality of doctor-patient communication by allowing the therapeutic choice and its limits to be shared in a more conscious way. In this way is possible to truly visualize the results that are possible to achieve.
