Operative dentistry
Operative dentistry is concerned with the treatment of lesions of the enamel and of the dentin caused by tooth decay and trauma, in order to restore the normal function and esthetic of the teeth.
The introduction of the laser and of the operating microscope to these treatments gives the patient a great series of advantages.
By eliminating, in most cases, anaesthesia by injection, discomfort for the patient is minimised as are associated risks. Within the same sitting, it is possible to carry out more than one restoration within the various quadrants, by preparing smaller cavities , without trauma to the tissues and without the noise of the drill.
Another big advantage offered by the laser is the deep disinfection of the dentin, with the reduction of post-operatory sensitivity and secondary risk of tooth decay;
The microscope check guarantees that the restorations are of high quality both for the marginal fit as well as the esthetic result.
